Well Timothy Blake might just have the answer, with his latest public offering “Past Life Jazz” available for streaming on SoundCloud. Now, as it says in the title, this is a blog about songs with lyrics but this one got to me. starting off with a cosmic Countdown-lite bass line, spacy keystrokes usher in a subdued melody that pleases the ear without gasping for attention.
The perfect soundtrack to praying the sun shines tomorrow or indeed at any point in the near or distant future. Put it this way, “Past” has nothing to do with it. Play it at your next barbeque.

I’m gona review the first four songs trhat come up on shuffle.

1. Shockwave by Black Tide.

This is typical metal-lite, not to be confused with nu-metal. one thing to note about this band is they are all younger than Hanson. They have that annoying quality of comparing themselves to electricity cause it’s metal. “Don’t Mess with me, I’m a shockwave!” Provocative.

True Colors by Cyndi Lauper
This is a difficult one for me, i’m sensitive, but not gay, is this song allowed affect me? She certainly doesn’t sound like she’s having fun. At all.

Outside by George Michael
Confession. I am gay. I love this song. How could you not. Released shortly after George stopped cumming in the closet. cops kissed on the roof, they made fun of it in the Simpsons.
